The Brokeback Coalition

Well, we are now 3 months into our grand Coalition government and the strains are beginning to show. David Davis MP is not impressed and quite a few Lib Dem councillors are talking about joining Labour for fear of the kicking they will receive at the next election.

The latest plan is to massively reduce the road safety budget. Yes, some do seem to be placed to raise money but outside schools, surely these are doing so good?

There was always an alleged theory under Mrs Thatcher that the winter fuel payments were so low that it was felt better to kill OAP's off to save the NHS money. It seems that perhaps getting more killed on the road will do the same job, and perhaps cut the benefit bill.

The Coalition does seem to be stumble from one disaster to another. Prison parties, school building, programme, pointless free schools, commission on Trident turns into well, we will spend £20bn when we can't afford it. Cowtowing to the US over BP and waiting 4 days to defend the police over Raoul Moat.

Come on Mr Cameron, get some proper leadership. You have been pretty much a shambles so far.
