Last night game

Well, I didn't attend Upton Park last week and I was glad I didn't. What a disgraceful performance, against a not very good team. Yes, Wolves were up for it but really we should have won comfortably.

I am firmly in the Zola out camp. His team selections seem to be increasingly bizarre and who decided to buy McCarthy. What a waste of time he is. He needs to go on a diet!!

We were told Steve Clarke was a marvellous defensive coach. There wasn't much evidence of that last night.

We need someone else before the weekend because if we don't change I can't see much against Stoke,

Budget day

So we had the last budget before the election today. It was a nothing budget as was expected. It was a holding budget as none of the measures announced will be made law if the Tories win the election.

We have a huge deficit which we need to get down and the way each party will get down will be a major focus of the election campaign.

The stamp duty increased to £250,000 was helpful but of course it put the Tories in a corner as the stamp duty for over £1m purchases is now 5%. They have announced they will not oppose it.

Cameron obviously realised he can't oppose it or Labour will scream more class divisions.

It was a boring hour and not the most enthralling budget.
